Disc Brake Conversion Bracket Kit, 5-lug. 1947-59 Chevrolet / GMC Truck
This is the best and easiest way to convert your Chevy truck to disc brakes.
These kits mount to your original straight axle spindle making installation a snap and use later model "GM" rotors and calipers. Caliper brackets are precision laser cut from quality 1018 steel and are zinc plated for corrosion resistance.
As with any disc brake conversion we recommend using one of our power brake boosters.
Kit includes:
• .375" thick mounting brackets and hardware.
• Zinc Plated
• Uses 70-78 Camaro GM calipers and 70-78 Camaro 11" rotors or equivalent. Inner A-13 bearings with races and outer A-2 bearings. Rotor bolt pattern will be changed to the popular 5 x 4.75".
Note: As with all disc brake conversions some modifications may be required and not every wheel combination will fit.
